Sewing Machine Sew-Cial
Weekly sewing machine group
Service Description
A weekly sew-cial for you to get to grips with your sewing machine. Bring your sewing machine or overlocker along and we'll show you how to service it, change the needles, twiddle the dials and sort out those tension issues. With hints and tips on all sorts of projects, this is the ideal group to help inspire and motivate your sewing dreams. We have a wide range of patterns and concepts from box cushions and curtains, dresses, pj's to slippers, so you can turn your hand to all those textiles ideas. We're here to guide you as you insert zips, make pockets, take up trousers and curtains, make appliques... the list is endless! Please bring your own machines along, as its easier to learn the quirks of your own machine, than trying to fathom out someone else's. We do have some machines for loan through the Tool Library at just £5 per week for members. Access to our very reasonably priced scraperdashery ensures you have all the threads, fabrics, buttons and zips to complete your projects. As spaces are very limited, please book for every week that you would like to attend. Each class costs just £10 per session, and can be booked here. Machine hire is available on arrival at the class. If you require any further details, please email info@upcyclekernow.org Please note these classes are not suitable for children - there is a seperate class specifically for under 16's as part of our Home Ed Thursday.
