Maker Space
The TeXCommunities Maker Space opens up it’s doors for an “anything goes” textile session offering a safe, fun environment, giving participants the
freedom to explore textiles in a variety of forms, from repairing
clothes to creating fabulous pieces of textile art.
Our inclusive, well-equipped workspace gives makers the opportunity to share skills and ideas, allowing them to motivate and inspire each other as they work on their own projects. With access to our stashes of fabric and haberdashery and use of our equipment and tools, this is an amazing opportunity for those wishing to develop their own practice, but
don’t have the space, inspiration or equipment at home.
These groups are not project-led, however, staff will be available to support you in your work, ensuring you get the best out of your session.
When? Drop-In every Tuesday afternoon, 2pm - 7pm
Where? Upcycle Kernow CIC, Portreath Retail Park, TR16 4QL
How much? £4 for the first hour, £2 per hour thereafter

Stitch Social
In need of a Stitch n Bitch? Up for a Knit and Natter? Like being Sew-cial? Or just need to share a yarn? Then StitchClub is just for you!
Bring your knitting, crochet, embroidery, cross stitch, macramé, hand sewing, darning, sashiko or any other (no machine) project and join us for a social evening.
A great place to bring your projects, to share motivate and inspire each other over a cup of tea and chinwag. Please note this class is not for sewing machines, please see our Tuesday Maker Space Sessions
When? Every Thursday evening, 6-9pm
