Making a Textile Owl
A creative, fun and relaxing workshop making textile Owls
- 3 British pounds£3
After the success of our Moth Making workshop, we've progressed onto Owls! Learn how to make a beautiful bug eyed Owl. Using skills learnt in previous workshops, we'll be making these little creatures with patterned faces and wings made up of appliqué, Japanese bro, fibre art etc. This workshop is about using your creativity and different techniques to create fun 3D art pieces which can be used as friends around the house or perched in plants, or would also make great gifts. All materials and equipment required to complete the workshop will be supplied, but if you do have any fabrics, haberdashery, threads or otherwise that you would like to incorporate into your design, then please do bring them along. That also goes for your sewing machine and kit if you have favourite equipment that you like to use. Its easier to learn the quirks of your own machine, than try to fathom out a new one! Entry into the workshop is by suggested donation of £3 per session (yes that’s just £3!) which helps towards the running costs of the classes. This is a suggested donation, so if you are unable to cover the costs, please do get in touch and we will create a space for you for free. These workshops are part of our TeXInnovation Partnership with Cultivate Communities CIC and the University of Exeter, and are funded by the National Lottery Community Action Fund. This means that places are strictly limited, therefore as per our T&C's, we require 48 hours notice (at least) to cancel your place. Any "no shows" will be invoiced at the full amount of the course (£45 per person) as we cannot allow these places to go unused. Thank you for your understanding in this matter!
