In this two-session workshop, you will be guided through the stages of tracing a basic pyjamas bottom pattern, choosing a suitable fabric, then cutting and sewing your own lounge pants using both an overlocker and a flatbed sewing machine. Your pattern will be something you can return to again and again. With clever fabric choice and a few pattern adjustments, you could make a range of comfortable pyjamas or lounge pants suitable for any occasion! All materials and equipment required to complete the workshop will be supplied, but if you do have any lightweight curtains, duvet covers, or other suitable fabric, then please do bring it along. That also goes for your sewing machine and kit if you have favourite equipment that you like to use. Its easier to learn the quirks of your own machine, than try to fathom out a new one! Please note this is a 2-part workshop, and participants must be able to attend both sessions. Entry into the workshop is by suggested donation of £3 per session (yes that’s just £3!) which helps towards the running costs of the classes. This is a suggested donation, so if you are unable to cover the costs, please do get in touch and we will create a space for you for free. These workshops are part of our TeXInnovation Partnership with Cultivate Communities CIC and the University of Exeter, and are funded by the National Lottery Community Action Fund. This means that places are strictly limited, therefore as per our T&C's, we require 24 hours notice (at least) to cancel your place. Any "no shows" will be invoiced at the full amount of the course (£45 per person) as we cannot allow these places to be misused. Thank you for your understanding in this matter!
