Headbands and Scrunchies
A relaxed, fun, and very productive workshop
- 3 British pounds£3
A relaxed, fun, and very productive workshop to use up all those leftover bits. Using a range of scrap textiles and other bits of haberdashery, we will show you how to make your own personalised headbands and scrunchies, that can be adorned in a variety of ways, from the absolutely crazy to the more subtle – think silk flowers or colourful buttons and beads, pieces of jewellery or even small toys– without a glue gun in sight! All materials and equipment required to complete the workshop will be supplied, but if you do have any special fabrics, bits of jewellery, oddments or other interesting bits you would like to use for your headbands and scrunchies, then please do bring it along. That also goes for your sewing machine and kit if you have favourite equipment that you like to use. Its easier to learn the quirks of your own machine, than try to fathom out a new one! Entry into the workshop is by suggested donation of £3 per session (yes that’s just £3!) which helps towards the running costs of the classes. This is a suggested donation, so if you are unable to cover the costs, please do get in touch and we will create a space for you for free. These workshops are part of our TeXInnovation Partnership with Cultivate Communities CIC and the University of Exeter, and are funded by the National Lottery Community Action Fund. This means that places are strictly limited, therefore as per our T&C's, we require 48 hours notice (at least) to cancel your place. Any "no shows" will be invoiced at the full amount of the course (£45 per person) as we cannot allow these places to be unused. Thank you for your understanding in this matter!
