Service Description

Niki Willows is a local printmaker who has a passion for making something out of nothing. Niki mainly creates linocuts but enjoys experimenting with other methods of printing too. During this four hour workshop we will use traditional lino to create block prints and patterns on beautiful book papers, maps and offcuts from Niki’s prints. You may choose to make Christmas tags, fronts for cards, decorations or maybe a lantern. Niki will bring examples and also books for ideas. There will be plenty of time to experiment and play. Feel free to bring your own papers too. Tea, coffee and mince pies will be on tap and a hot lunch of homemade soup is also included. Please advise if you have any specific food allergies You will leave with your own set of prints and an idea of how you can print at home without a press. We will be using a variety of sharp tools and oil based printing inks. You may want to bring plasters (kidding!) rubber gloves and an apron.
