Service Description

Why buy more plastic Christmas Tat when you can make your own sustainable and beautiful festive cards and tags from fabric scraps? This workshop is all about making lovely little textile Christmas Cards and Tags using up those fabric scraps and buttons and little bits of haberdashery. All materials and equipment required to complete the workshop will be supplied, but should you have any festive fabrics, trims, buttons etc that you would like to incorporate into your designs, please do bring them along. This also goes for your sewing machine & kit - its much easier to learn the quirks of your own machine than trying to fathom out a new one! We can help you lift it in and out of the car. This workshop is funded by The National Lottery Climate Action Community Fund to inspire you on your sustainable journey. Entry into the workshop is by suggested donation of £3 per session (yes that’s just £3!) which helps towards the running costs of the classes. This is a suggested donation, so if you are unable to cover the costs, please do get in touch and we will create a space for you for free. These workshops are part of our TeXInnovation Partnership with Cultivate Communities CIC and the University of Exeter, and are funded by the National Lottery Climate Action Community Fund. This means that places are strictly limited, therefore as per our T&C's, we require 48 hours notice (at least) to cancel your place. Any "no shows" will be invoiced at the full amount of the course (£45 per person) as we cannot allow these places to go unused. Thank you for your understanding in this matter! We look forward to getting creative with you!
