Experimental Printing with Niki Willows
A Christmas inspired Print Workshop with Niki Willows Prints
- 3 British pounds£3
A Festive Experimental Print Workshop with Niki Willows Prints. This workshop is suitable for absolute beginners, but is also open to those with more print experience who would like to take advantage of our space and equipment to create your festive prints We will be using plain fabrics and inks to create designs which can be used as bunting, napkins, bags and teatowels. We'll have a festive feel to the session but your design is up to you. We will be using card templates to create a design. You just need to be able to use a pair of scissors and a roller. The afternoon will be spent designing and printing the design and you can do any further sewing at home or at one of the Maker Spaces or Stitch Clubs at TeXInnovation on a Tuesday and Thursday. All equipment and materials will be supplied, but if you do have any Festive shapes, fabrics or ideas you would like to incorporate in to your design, please do bring them along. PLEASE ALSO BRING AN APRON OR WEAR OLD CLOTHES as this is a messy workshop. This workshop is funded by The National Lottery Climate Action Fund Community Fund, therefore entry into the workshop is by suggested donation of £3 per session (yes that’s just £3!) which helps towards the running costs of the classes. This is a suggested donation, so if you are unable to cover the costs, please do get in touch and we will create a space for you for free. These workshops are part of our TeXInnovation Partnership with Cultivate Communities CIC and the University of Exeter, and are funded by the National Lottery Community Action Fund. This means that places are strictly limited, therefore as per our T&C's, we require 48 hours notice (at least) to cancel your place. Any "no shows" will be invoiced at the full amount of the course (£45 per person) as we cannot allow these places to go unused. Thank you for your understanding in this matter!
